I thought of the movie's title just seconds ago. City of Dying Head! I love it!! Storyboards are done. Now it's on to the animatic to get a rough idea of how long this bitch will be. I hope your October is turning out to be super spooky fun. Hopefully I'll be around to post some more here before Halloween

Status of Currents

Hello Internet. It's been a while. Sorry about disappearing like that. I was busy saving the world from giant insects. I've also been doing some creative stuff on the side:

Movies: I've finished my script. It's super short :( but I'm happy with the story. Hopefully it'll turn out longer than ten minutes. I start storyboarding this month. Next month I jump into Cinema 4d and make all my models and sets. I've been working on another short recently which is taking forever. Hopefully, it will be out by the end of October.

Comics: Tennisball Man has hit a wall. Writing the next few chapters is becoming a real pain. I have events far into the future planned out, but how these characters get there is becoming complicated. On the up side though, the style of the comic has evolved rather nicely. Think I'll shoot for a punk rock type of feel.

Music: I'm getting some ideas. Getting the itch to create. I haven't touched my music software in months, but it seems now is the time to get back into it.

the guys over at drunk duck said the new site would be up by the 5th. it took them two extra weeks to get set up, yet still there be errors a plenty. talk about incompetence.

welcome to the Klaus tehKurios Tennisball Man Page Creation Special! what goes into the creation of a mediocre webcomic? i'll show ye.

step 1: first, i draw things. yep. just a bunch of lines on a transparent layer

step 2: after the drawings are to my liking, i put in some color on another layer underneath them.

step 3: the background, the most tedious part of the process. it's hard because the background can make or break the entire page. if the background is boring or ugly it just ruins the impact. i don't much like this background. but now that i have a character with boobs maybe it won't matter so much.

step 4: sri-kara looked really stiff and awkward, so i redid that drawing. easy, as it was all contained in that cute little box. i do all my lettering separately in a monochrome bitmap so there won't be any blurriness.
the 1280x720 version of the page is uploaded to a secret location where you'll be able to enjoy extra pages as well. i shrink the page down by 75% for readers on comic fury and drunkduck

a couple months from this particular page you'll notice a lot of improvements as well. i used to add my backgrounds and screentones in ms. paint, but now that's all done in photoshop with more crazy effects - which means i use a lot more layers too.

these are some VERY early songs. "Dissociative Fugue" is the first piece of music i ever recorded. i found these while digging around in my harddrive for something with which to score my next animation.

EDIT: i changed this release to a $1 minimum download. i don't like charging people to pay attention to me. it seems so counter-intuitive. but i have to eat you know? so, i see this as the best way to go: give away all my major releases, films and music, for free, and charge for the minor extra bits. So, if you really like what i do and you're craving more, you won't mind paying a little bit of money to support me. sound good to you?

Current Status

MOVIES: I've just started a script for a feature film. By the time that's finished and ready for revisions I'll have mega mad skills. In the mean time I have some ideas for a bunch of shorts.

COMICS: With all my talk of movies, an obvious question arises. I won't be doing a Tennisball Man cartoon anytime soon. MAYBE after my first feature film I'll give it a shot. But for right now I dare not dream of attempting it. Tennisball Man is my dearest creation and I don't want to give it a shitty adaptation. If I do animate it, it's going to take a LONG time, and it's going to be really short.
As for what's going on now: I'm about two months ahead for tennisball man. There will be a few extras (filler) after the end of this current chapter to give me a bit more time to write chapter six. I am no time ahead at all for Johnny Elm. Gotta get on top of that one of these days.

MUSIC: Nothing to report just yet. I have some ideas floating around in my head, but I probably won't do anything musical until I finish the first draft of my movie script.

We Are The Strange arcade machine

if you're a fan of M dot Strange and have cinema 4d i have a lil something for you. here's a WATS Machine i was using for a music video. the video, set to Alone_in_Ne0_Toky0, was going to be a tribute to Strange - my way of saying "you inspired me to be a one-man animation army. i owe you this first animation" but the video was turning rotten really fast, as i'm still very new to 3d animation. so i've decided to put that video on hold until i can do the song more justice with better visuals.

Both these super-villains wear a helmet and cape, hang out in a giant sphere of doom, and are voiced by an old fat black guy. This just blew my mind! I guess Krang is like the emperor right?
